After a solid 14 years or so of watching every chick flick known to womankind and reading magazines and romance novels, I'm fairly certain that I've learned The Rules of love, dating, relationships and how to please "my man."
On this last category, I'm a near expert: After doing my Cosmo tallies, I know his 2,000 erogenous zones, 1,200 ticklish spots, 800 most "uncensored!" "uncut!" "now disclosed!" wishes in bed and, mostly, I know what he expects out of "his" woman.

There's no getting away from the wounds of a breakup when one claims Facebook as a favorite link. The stories of lost love cling to those profile walls like seaweed on the body of a drowned swimmer. It's there, for all to see, in those cruel broken heart icons proffered by "canceled" relationships; wall posts from friends:
"OMG! Are you for real?!?! I am soooooo sorry!"
And the photos.

Liberals are going crazy on the blogs this week. It was recently revealed that Republican vice-presidential hopeful Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol is young, unwed and five months pregnant. One blog, titled Pushback, stated: "While it would be foolish to draw a one-to-one correlation in her daughter's case, does Palin think there's a general connection between teen pregnancy and a lack of sex ed? Does she think that a 17-year-old who finds herself pregnant should be forced by the law to carry it to term? Does she think premarital sex is 'sinful' in any meaningful sense? How sinful?"
The fact that Bristol Palin is pregnant has nothing to do with her mother's politics.

Some may feel that the latest addition to the stadium is a frivolous waste of money in the name of an already inflated athletics department. But what many fail to realize is that the athletics programs at Pittsburg State provide an invaluable service to the campus, and they do so for a relatively low price tag.

Citizens want it, politicians talk it and this election cycle can be summed up by it: change.
College campuses are teeming with the desire for a new way to do politics, but will this hype translate into increased turnout for the 2008 elections?
Young adults vote in lower numbers than any other age group.

An education is valuable; therefore, it isn't free.
While the cost of an education is worthwhile, many students have no idea how much debt they have accrued in pursuit of higher learning.
Randy Sell, the director of Financial Aid at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, said when students come into his office, he asks them how much debt they have accumulated and most students do not know.

This election has me pissed off. When you're faced with a choice between two things, you usually look at the pros and cons, and then make a decision. However, it seems like in this election everyone has just about the same amount of pros and cons.
But first of all, let me say I'm coming out of the closet - the political closet that is.

John McCain selected Sarah Palin to be his vice presidential candidate on Friday, claiming that she is just the right person to fight what he sees as the "same old Washington politics."
This despite the fact that John McCain is the definition of the same old Washington politician, a man who has spent the better half of three decades entrenched in the Republican establishment.

After publishing an article last week on the sexual harassment case ("Tenured professors resign to avoid third investigation" - 08/18/08), it was natural that there would be some comments on our Web site.
What I didn't expect was to have my e-mail account bombarded by anonymous messages from both sides, so perhaps it's best to clear up a few points here.

Pittsburg State is undeniably a football school. Anyone who doubts that need not look any further than the surrounding community, which lives and breathes for the time between August and December, as it is football season. If you can somehow get through Pittsburg without seeing at least one mention of PSU football, then you either weren't looking hard enough or you were in Pennsylvania.
