The lady Coyotes have been playing sensationally this season with a 16-5 record.
They are currently sitting in second place in the conference with a 10-2 record. "This was definitely supposed to be a rebuilding year for us, coming off of losing four seniors from last year's team," head coach Gordon Reimer said.
"But the younger players have really contributed and stepped up for us this year. Also, our returners had a great summer working hard and getting ready for this season."
This year's team has came together to build great chemistry with one another, and each player understands their role on the team. This plays a huge part in the success of how the season is has gone so far.
Shelby Babcock is leading the lady Coyotes in scoring and is getting much help from Stephanie Frost who leads the team in rebounds.
"The ladies have definitely exceeded the expectations for the 09-10 season," Coach Reimer said.
In the meantime the lady Coyotes have six more games of conference play until the tournament.
So tonight, come out and support them while they take on Friends University here at Maybee Arena.
