Debate, Forensics Place at Webster

Webster University Tournament (January 29-31, 2010)
In Debate, the team of Micah Moore, Salina, and Andrew Moffitt, Chanute, tied for 16th out of 70 teams.
John Mikolajcik, Derby, was the 14th place speaker and Meriah Forbes, Hutchinson, was 20th out of 140 Parliamentary Debate speakers.
In Individual Events, Forbes placed sixth in Extemporaneous Speaking and ninth in Impromptu Speaking. Kris Schneider, Hoisington, placed third in Prose Interpretation.
Kansas Wesleyan placed third in the School Individual Sweepstakes competition and third in the School Overall Sweepstakes for both debate and individual events.
It was the largest non-national tournament this season.
Other colleges and universities represented included Baptist Bible College, Carthage College, Cedarville University, Central Michigan University, Concordia University, Creighton University, Ferris State University, Fort Scott Community College, Hillsdale College, Hutchinson Community College, Lafayette College, Loyola University, McKendree University, Marian University, Metropolitan Community College-Longview, Missouri Southern State University, Nassau Community College, Northwest Missouri State University, Oklahoma State University, Oklahoma University, Ottawa University, Otterbein College, Purdue University, Rice University, St. Anselm College, Southeastern Illinois College, Southern Illinois University, University of Missouri, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, University of the Pacific, Valdosta State University, Western Kentucky University, Wheaton College, and William Jewell College.
