McLovin says:
***Girlfriend comes home. She walks into the room and she wants to talk. You are in the middle of an online battle with your friends playing CODMW2 and you currently have the highest score. Pissed off, she pulls the plug to the console and the game cuts out. Enraged, you call her a stupid BITCH and she storms out vowing to never talk to you again.***
This may very well be true with young couples but the scenario was given to illustrate how words can seriously affect a relationship. Although that was an extreme story in which a guy cursing out his girlfriend might be a little more understanding, it is never good to curse your girlfriend out.
We all know the saying, "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me". For some people this is true but for a lot of people, especially females, words carry a lot of weight. It is important that you understand how emotional and delicate women are. Guys are tough and can handle being called out of their name. They do it to each other when the hang out, play games, or a pick-up game. However, girls do not appreciate it when they are disrespected by being called out of their name by any man or woman, especially their boyfriends.
When you find yourself in a situation where you want to curse your girlfriend out, take a huge breath and bite your tongue. Trust me; it is not worth it to go through all the extra arguing because you called her a dumb HOE or annoying SLUT. Not only will she lose respect for you but she will grow to highly detest you and want nothing to do with you.
Along with harmful words, it is also important to avoid bringing up things that you know will trigger emotional scars from her past. Saying things that will make her thing of a past event that she is trying to get over is not cool. It will only prove to her that you aren't with her to help her and it will cause her to not want to talk to you about anything. When a girl feels that she can't talk to you anymore, you lose out on gaining her trust and therefore halting any progression in the relationship.
Hopefully this isn't happening with any over you guys reading this column but if so, I beg of you to please work things out and talk to each other a little better. I'm McLovin and remember to keep love alive.

Welcome back ladies. Hope you all enjoyed the advice from last week. This week we are going to talk about something that might be a little touchy for some of you ladies. Harmful words, does this ring a bell? You know those nights that you and your man keep in those arguments where one thing leads to the next and then the words come out? Ya…well whoever said sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me, ya they lied. Because the harmful words that can come out of men's mouths are out of this world, to say the least.
